Let's turn every cancer patient into a cancer survivor!
Hello family and friends. This is my second year participating in Miles for Moffitt (MFM) and I am very excited this year, as it marks my first year of being cancer FREE. I was diagnosed with stage one invasive ductal carcinoma/breast cancer on January 28, 2016. Following surgery and radiation, I was able to celebrate the good riddance of this terrible disease at last year's MFM with my family and closest friends. Fortunatley, I was treated at Moffitt Cancer Center (MCC) with the best oncology team around. I feel like I owe my life to MCC.
My way of giving back is to raise funds for Moffitt's cutting-edge research to make us steps closer to finding a cure. I want to see the day when there is a cure for cancer and I believe I will.
However, I can't do it alone and I need your help!
On Saturday, May 13, 2017, I'm participating in the 12th annual Miles for Moffitt run/walk event. Every dollar of my registration fee and every dollar of my fundraising efforts that I bring in go completely to support lifesaving cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Moffitt researchers are at the very front lines of the effort to defeat cancer. They've already made so many amazing breakthroughs, and cancer patients here in Florida and around the world have benefited from their efforts.
But there's so much MORE work to do. So many MORE lives still to be saved!
That's why I'm asking you to support me in my Miles for Moffitt run. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, every penny will help bring closer the day when cancer is beaten. Please do what you can to help. Thank you so much!
