Let's turn every cancer patient into a cancer survivor!
Hello family and friends. This is my third year participating in Miles for Moffitt (MFM) and I am beyond excited.
My motivation to find a cure for cancer is rooted from the loss of my aunt in 2009. She was only 37 years old with a young daughter when she passed away. Shockingly, on January 28, 2016, I was diagnosed with Stage I invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. It was the worse day of my entire life. At that time, I was so scared and did not know what the outcome of my own life expectancy would be. I never thought in a million years this would happen to ME, but it did!
Fortunately, I was treated at Moffitt Cancer Center (MCC) with the best oncology team around. And now, two and a half years later, I am incredibly blessed to be a BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR. However, the fight does not stop with me. I have made a lifelong commitment or until we find a cure, to advocate for cancer by raising awareness and funds for critical cancer research at MCC.
I can't do it alone and I need your help!
On Saturday, December 8, 2018 , I'm participating in the 13th annual Miles for Moffitt run/walk event. Every dollar of my registration fee and every dollar of my fundraising efforts that I bring in go completely to support lifesaving cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Moffitt researchers are at the very front lines of the effort to defeat cancer. They've already made so many amazing breakthroughs, and cancer patients here in Florida and around the world have benefited from their efforts.
But there's so much MORE work to do. So many MORE lives still to be saved!
That's why I'm asking you to support me in my Miles for Moffitt run. Whether you can give $10 or $1,000, every penny will help bring closer the day when cancer is beaten. Please do what you can to help. Thank you so much!
